Motivated Woman provides care packages to females at high schools across South Carolina in an effort to fight period poverty. As defined by the National Institutes of Health, period poverty is the lack of access to safe and hygienic menstrual products during monthly periods and inaccessibility to basic sanitation products.  Motivated Woman's care packages include feminine hygiene products such as sanitary pads, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, lotion, and lip balm. Motivated Woman strives to inspire and motivate women to be strong as they battle various health illnesses. Our signature “Voices of…” program is a virtual panel discussion that features women, who have been challenged by illnesses such as diabetes, infertility, mental health, cancer, heart disease, and obesity. These topics and more will be discussed by not only women who have suffered from these conditions but also medical professionals who will provide helpful tips and feedback.

Each series has a “Mental Health Moment” component, where panelists and medical professionals discuss a hot topic around mental health. From coping with grief and prioritizing self care to topics such as imposter syndrome and anxiety disorder, panelists will share facts and personal experiences and answer questions from attendees.

We invite you to join Motivated Woman, award-winning meteorologist, Von Gaskin, who is the moderator, and panelists for these enlightening conversations.
