Teesa Brunson, Ed.D.
Teesa Brunson is a dynamic higher education professional, magazine editor, and podcaster with over 15 years of experience in development. As the creator and host of Motivated Voices, Teesa brings energy and empathy to conversations about women’s health, creating a welcoming space where listeners can explore health challenges, find support, and stay inspired on their journeys.

Her passion for this mission is personal—after overcoming her own struggles with infertility, Teesa wanted women to know they are never alone and that their stories matter. With each episode, she blends expertise, heart, and a touch of humor to connect with women navigating diverse health paths.
​
Teesa holds a doctorate in higher education leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a master’s degree in journalism from Florida A&M University, and a bachelor’s degree in English from South Carolina State University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

When she’s not behind the mic, Teesa enjoys life in South Carolina with her husband, Jamie, their lively daughter, Kennedy, and their lovable dog, Elsa.
Von Gaskin, M.S.
Von Gaskin is an Emmy-winning meteorologist, journalist and podcaster with a passion for keeping people informed and inspired. A weather enthusiast to her core, Von has been a trusted voice on the WIS-TV news weather team since 2010, specializing in hurricane and severe weather forecasting.

A proud South Carolina native, Von earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina before heading to Mississippi State University, where she earned her master’s degree in geosciences and broadcast meteorology.
​
When she’s not tracking the latest weather systems, Von loves soaking up the sun along Carolina beaches with her husband, Anthony, and their three energetic sons, Emmanuel, Shamar and Marsalis. She’s also passionate about giving back to her community through volunteer work and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
